Our team was engaged to support Amana Bank Ltd to integrate environmental and social management considerations into the bank credit assessment and monitoring process with the aim of identifying, assessing environmental and social risks, proposing mitigation measures to address identified risks and monitoring compliance to the proposed mitigation measures.

Output & Impact

The assignment yielded environmental and social policy statement, environmental and social policy manual and project screening and appraisal tool. The tool enabled the bank to screen projects for environmental and social risks upfront and propose mitigation measures.
